The Non Union Janitor Days position at Nissan Smyrna is a vital role focused on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the facility. This role ensures that all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, production floors, and common spaces, are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to company standards. The janitor will contribute to the overall operational efficiency by supporting a hygienic workplace that promotes employee well‑being and productivity. Attention to detail and consistency in cleaning routines help prevent hazards and uphold Nissan’s commitment to quality and safety. Ultimately, this position plays a key part in sustaining a professional atmosphere that reflects positively on the company and its consumer support services.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal across all assigned areas.
• Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and high‑touch surfaces to maintain health and safety standards.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any maintenance or repair needs to the facilities management team.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure consistent and thorough coverage of all workspaces.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address any special cleaning requests or emergency situations promptly.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Availability to work daytime shifts as scheduled.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial facility environment.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
