The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Community Service Officer Supervisor. As a Community Service Officer Supervisor, you will: Supervise a group of Community Service Officers Fill the CSO role when necessary Subordinate officers perform a variety of public safety and community service work that does not require the enforcement authority of a sworn police officer. This position will assign, direct, monitor, and evaluate the work of subordinates; conduct field observations; train and advise subordinates; compile and produce statistical and activity reports. Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, record information, understand and follow verbal and/or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, guide people and provide basic directions, and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing to coordinate schedule to meet hourly limits and department needs. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirement. Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Two years of experience in a supervisory role with one year of supervisory experience in a security-related field. Knowledge of community policing principles and objectives. Ability to speak additional languages. Knowledge and/or use of Incident Command Systems. Requirements : Pre-Placement Driving Record Review Required, Physical Required, Criminal History Background Check Required. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required. Posted Salary: $23.173/hr Work Schedule: Overnights, varying days off, weekends, and holidays Work Location: Lincoln, NE
