Position Information

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Community Service Officer to promote an inclusive and safe environment and protect the welfare of students, faculty, and staff. The successful candidate will collaborate with diverse groups to identify issues and create solutions, assist students with accessing university resources, and perform foot and vehicle patrols to monitor behavior and secure buildings. Responsibilities include handling minor calls for assistance, providing security for special events, and maintaining order during events. The candidate must be available to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime. Requirements

Minimum required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalency, a valid Nebraska driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background investigation and medical exam. Preferred qualifications include one year of security experience and demonstrated ability to operate relevant equipment.
