Role Overview:
Cella is seeking a precise Production Designer/Artist (PD/A) to serve as the technical backbone for our graphic design staff. This essential role is focused on supporting the flawless execution of all marketing creative projects. You will act as the technical expert, responsible for developing graphics across digital and print channels, performing high‑quality image retouching, creating accurate mock‑up renderings, and preparing all final design files. You will support the Production Design Manager by efficiently producing Tier 2 and 3 marketing and sales collateral, primarily by working with existing templates and assets. Your core responsibility is to ensure all artwork is technically accurate and meets industry‑standard, production‑ready requirements for our vendors.
Responsibilities
Execute design solutions as directed against established creative, or repurpose existing designs and artwork for new uses.
Resize, revise and update existing design deliverables, including point‑of‑sale, sell sheets, digital banner ads, truck wraps, billboards and labels.
Prepare production‑ready files to appropriate production specifications.
Pre‑flight all production files assigned, ensuring quality.
Perform QC to ensure files contain all correct elements needed for final deliverables.
Check files to ensure settings are correct including color, image resolution and output settings.
Correct all inconsistencies and mistakes in the art file before release, including typesetting revisions, scaling artwork, photo retouching, correcting vector artwork, color adjustments and page sequence/imposition revisions.
Take direction from art directors and graphic designers while meeting deadlines on various projects occurring at the same time.
Work with print vendors to troubleshoot and problem‑solve production issues on files.
Ensure all files are correct and final before archiving.
Provide technical guidance based on project needs/complexity to meet production specifications and standards.
Maintain and update images, photos, videos and work products in appropriate asset management system.
Create mock‑up renderings of displays, floorbins and shippers.
Build editable POS templates in PowerPoint for local market use based on existing art.
Adhere to brand standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in graphic design or related field.
Minimum of three years of professional‑level experience in creative/graphic design or production within an external or in‑house agency.
Portfolio required.
Nice to haves
Packaging experience.
Experience building editable templates in Canva.
Skills
Microsoft Windows, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe InDesign, project management software, and Microsoft Office.
