Organization Overview Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are two of New York City’s leading community‑based human services agencies that serve approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. They provide services to children, youth, families, homeless individuals and older adults throughout Manhattan and the city.

Program Description The Manhattanville (MNVL) Resource Center is a social service hub located in West Harlem in the MNVL NYCHA development. It exclusively serves residents of the development and offers benefits screening, financial counseling, legal consultation and referrals to community and citywide services.

Position Summary The MNVL Resource Center is looking for a highly motivated individual to support intergenerational and community engagement efforts. In collaboration with the Resource Center staff, this role supports program recruitment efforts and helps residents engage in programming.

Schedule Monday‑Friday, part‑time. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required (10:00 AM‑2:00 PM or 1:00 PM‑5:00 PM).

Hourly Rate $20–$24 per hour

Role, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties

Promote the MNVL Resource Center services among residents.

Refer residents in need to the Program Coordinator and Case Managers.

Report metrics on all services provided to residents.

Track and provide outcomes.

Meet with Tenant Association members and resident leaders.

Outreach Services

Work with the Program Coordinator on marketing and outreach to engage residents.

Coordinate activities, workshops, fairs, focus groups, etc. as per tenant interests.

Organize and manage on‑ and off‑site activities and workshops for residents, including scheduling, securing resources (space, food, etc.) and ensuring smooth execution.

Support community‑based initiatives and represent the MNVL Resource Center at tabling events, Community Board meetings, activities hosted by elected officials and local CBO events.

Contribute to special projects when needed.

Resource Center Team Member

Collaborate with the Program Coordinator and Case Managers to ensure cohesive program delivery and effective resident support.

Attend staff meetings, community meetings, case conferences, training programs and supervision meetings; participate in program evaluation and improvement.

Work as a member of an active team and respond flexibly to a fluid and evolving program environment.

Qualifications / Educational Requirements

High school diploma and 1–2 years’ experience working with diverse and underserved populations.

Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience working with low‑income populations.

Knowledge of government benefits.

Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong communication skills.

Team player.

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.

Able to use or learn electronic databases such as Single Stop.

Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Frequent walking and standing.

Ability to work outdoors.

Work Environment

On‑site work.

Work site is located in West Harlem on the MNVL NYCHA development.

Seasonal outdoor outreach events.

May require some late nights and/or weekends based on needs and programming.
