Position: Law Clerk
Circuit Judge is accepting resumes from students and recent graduates interested in a law clerk position. Law Clerks assist in all aspects of the Jefferson County Court system. Duties consist of:
Assisting with administrative duties as needed; Assisting with jury and nonjury trials; Legal research and writing; Maintaining detailed notes regarding meetings and hearings. Qualifications:
Admission or pending admission to the Alabama State Bar (3Ls may be considered), excellent legal research and writing skills, professional interpersonal skills, proficient computer skills, internet research, word processing skills, and the ability to manage cases and administrative responsibilities. This is a full-time 1-year position. The entry-level salary upon the successful completion of the Alabama State Bar is $34,048.80 plus benefits. The entry-level salary for individuals who have not been admitted to the Alabama State Bar is approximately $26,623.20 plus benefits, as determined by the Administrative Office of Courts.
