A client of Insight Global is seeking a leasing paralegal to join their team in Downtown LA. The Leasing Paralegal will provide high-quality, timely, and cost-effective legal services under the direction of the client's in-house counsel. This position requires a fundamental understanding of commercial real estate and retail leasing matters. The ideal candidate has a strong leasing background and experience with real estate acquisitions/dispositions, financings, and due diligence, including title and survey review.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in legal document review, drafting, and negotiation of easements, restrictive covenants, consent letters, rights of entry, estoppel certificates, and ancillary leasing documents such as assignments, modifications, and landlord waiver agreements.

Review, analyze, and research title documents, surveys, leases, and other legal documents; prepare legal memoranda, abstracts, matrices, and summaries related to use and merchandising restrictions, redevelopment rights, signage rights, control areas, and operating/title documents.

Assist with business risk assessments and lease exhibit revisions, including exclusive and prohibited use exhibits.

Coordinate communications with internal teams (leasing, development, operations, acquisitions/dispositions, capital markets, sustainability, property management), external counsel, tenants' teams, and tenants' outside counsel.

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in commercial real estate matters, including retail leasing, acquisitions/dispositions, financings, and due diligence such as title and survey review.

Retail leasing experience is required.

Previous law firm and/or in-house legal experience.

Strong legal drafting skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Word.
