$102,000 – $145,000 per year (base)

Our highly prestigious and awarded Global AMLAW 50 firm client is hiring an experienced Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Paralegal to work out of their NY or LA offices. This position will support the local Restructuring Insolvency and Bankruptcy Practitioners and the national Restructuring Insolvency and Bankruptcy Practice Group, reporting to the Practice Group Leader and working primarily under the direction of assigned practice group lawyers and/or paraprofessionals. Responsibilities

Prepare Fee Applications (monthly, interim, final) and related documents for court hearings and other bankruptcy-specific filings.

Provide support on lien searches, analyses, and schedules, including statement of financial affairs.

Prepare Proofs of Claim and reconcile claims filed.

Understand statutory and case deadlines, preparing related memos.

Demonstrate understanding of local rules within each jurisdiction.

Work closely with clients and financial advisors to prepare monthly operating reports.

Prepare ballot packages (tabulate and certify ballot classes, charts, and tally reports).

Complete additional tasks as assigned or required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher required.

4 to 10 years of bankruptcy experience.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.

Superior client service and communication skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

Capability to interact productively with all levels of lawyers, paraprofessionals, and business service team members.

Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Maintain discretion and privacy with confidential matters.

Ability to recognize and comprehend facts and legal concepts.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF creation tools, document management software, and Elite or other time‑keeping software.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Hands‑on computer technical skills and ability to learn new technologies.
