Social Worker - 8HR - Part-Time (0.8); Day Shift — Watsonville Community Hospital Position Summary
The Social Worker will implement, develop and evaluate patient care and social services interventions in accordance with Title XXII, JCAHO standards and WCH policies and procedures. Social work service includes assisting patients and their families in understanding and coping with the emotional and social problems affecting their health status. Provides assessment of patients, and referral with mental health issues. Performs other related duties as assigned. Position purpose statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work to be performed and are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Will be expected to use electronic charting and education will be provide to the candidate. Management reserves the right to reassign duties as needed. Education
MSW required Experience
Professional knowledge of loss, illness, disability issues. Competent to oversee general social services for perinatal, neonatal child, adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients. One to two years acute care experience, depending upon level of education Licenses And/or Certifications
Registration with the Board of Behavioral Science as a MSW; LCSW preferred. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification required. Details
