Branch Service Supervisor or Senior – Taylorville Job Summary:

Supervises and coordinates the day‑to‑day activities of the Personal Banker line for one or more bank branches. Manages Personal Banker schedules and ensures continuous coverage, maintains compliance with bank policies, and supports branch management in cross‑selling and new business efforts. Serves as a mentor to less experienced supervisors and may manage special projects as requested.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Supervises daily operations of the Personal Banker line, manages zone scheduling, and oversees staffing to maintain adequate coverage.

Provides coaching and guidance to Personal Bankers on complex transactions and transaction approvals.

Supports positive customer interactions through proactive greetings and efficient transaction execution.

Leads lobby coaching and ensures seamless customer transfers, meeting Branch Transformation expectations.

Communicates updates on bank policies, procedures, and products, ensuring Personal Bankers are trained and compliant.

Adheres to Branch Operations Standards and regulatory guidelines, maintains fraud awareness, and reports violations per company policy.

Remains current on branch security policies, assists with branch open/close procedures, and maintains cash control systems.

Supervises and educates team members on the quarterly Branch Management Operations checklist and addresses improvement areas.

Assists customers and escalates issues to branch management as required, ensuring courteous service.

Promotes bank products, refers customers to partners, and drives referral performance.

Participates in daily huddles, sales meetings, and training activities, and performs proactive outreach during campaigns.

Maintains vault cash levels, processes coin and currency shipments, and prepares monthly transaction reports.

Acts as the Personal Banker Insight Branch Administrator (update user profiles, assign authority).

Leads branch team in the absence of the Retail Market Manager or Lead Relationship Banker.

Communicates operational changes to the Regional Operations Manager and ensures implementation of procedures.

Demonstrates professionalism through appearance, punctuality, and a clean work area.

Manages annual performance management and merit processes, coaches team members, and collaborates with Human Resources on hiring and employee relations.

Performs any other related duties as required.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Two (2) years of Personal Banker experience; OR one (1) year as a Personal Banker Supervisor or as a Branch Manager with Personal Banker duties; OR two (2) years of supervisory experience that includes one (1) year of Personal Banker experience; OR a Bachelor's degree and one year of Personal Banker experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge of bank branch operational functions, systems, policies, and procedures.

Understanding of bank compliance rules and regulations.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to establish rapport quickly.

Strong listening skills and positive communication.

Account reconciliation skills.

Attention to detail, time management, and multitasking.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Bachelor's degree.
