Job Title:

Land Development Project Manager (Remote – Orlando, FL)

Location:

Remote – Must be based in the Orlando, FL area

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Land Development Project Manager to lead and oversee land development projects in the Orlando region. This is a remote position, but the ideal candidate must reside in the Orlando area or be willing to travel locally as project demands require.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership:

Lead, manage, and coordinate all aspects of land development projects from acquisition and due diligence through design, entitlement, permitting, construction, and project closeout.

Budget & Scheduling:

Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes to ensure successful and timely delivery.

Stakeholder Coordination:

Serve as a primary point of contact among internal teams, consultants, contractors, public agencies, utility providers, and local municipality officials.

Due Diligence:

Oversee site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to determine project viability and support decision‑making processes.

Entitlements & Permitting:

Manage entitlement processes including zoning, planning, and permitting with local agencies and government bodies.

Design Oversight:

Coordinate with civil engineers, surveyors, architects, and landscape designers to oversee site planning, engineering, and infrastructure design.

Construction Oversight:

Support onsite construction activity by working closely with field teams to monitor progress, quality, and compliance.

Reporting:

Prepare and present regular project updates, progress reports, and forecasting to senior management and stakeholders.

Vendor & Contract Management:

Manage and coordinate vendor contracts, RFPs, and negotiate terms and agreements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or related field required.

5+ years of relevant experience in land development, site development, or horizontal construction project management.

Proven track record managing multiple, large‑scale land development projects, preferably in Orlando/Florida markets.

Strong working knowledge of Orlando‑area development regulations, permitting processes, and local agency requirements.

Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Procore, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to travel locally within the Orlando area for project meetings and site visits.
