As an Applebee’s Assistant Manager, you will be engaged in all aspects of the day-to-day operations at the restaurant. You are responsible for getting guests and staff passionate about their experience every day at Applebee's. You will need to be a team leader, a strong problem solver, and capable of handling stress while delivering outstanding results. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit. Cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs. Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff. Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards. Maintains departmental inventory levels. Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks. Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands. Maintains effective safety and security programs. Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation. Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director. Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates. Promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers. Helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, employee meetings and policy implementation. Participates in the development of employees using One-on-One coaching and performance documentation and assists with written evaluations. Assesses efficiency of employees, provides regular feedback, and works with employees on development. Monitors performance and documents situations that require corrective action. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Controls costs in the assigned department. Complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations. Drives bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories as requested and is accountable for completion. Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork. Ensures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards. Provides a role model for managers and employees. Develops self on all store-related technology. Willing and able to work in all positions and assist in team member roles as needed, including cooking on the line, expo, seating guests, bartending, etc. Uses the Management Development Program for ongoing leadership growth. Education and Experience

At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience. Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus. Physical Standards

Work various shifts, including weekends. Stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to ten hours. Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds. Read and write to facilitate communication; manual dexterity for using small tools and equipment. Legal and Privacy
