Description of the role: A Research Project Manager is needed to support the Administrative Core team on the COBRE and DCIS center to manage daily activities for training, grant and program management, and coordination with center directors, cores, RPLs and PPLs. The RPM will plan, manage, and execute day-to-day administration and operation of the Dartmouth Center for Implementation Science. This role serves as an integral member of the Center team to develop and achieve project objectives, facilitate project plans, communicate status to leadership, and resolve problems. Responsibilities
Organizes, reviews, facilitates, and tracks project tasks and project reporting. Develops and steward all assigned project activities and maintains quality of work products across internal and external efforts in accordance with Center aims. Develops project management plans including definition of project objectives, timelines, and resource allocations. Resolves issues using own judgment when appropriate and seeks support when warranted. Supervises activities of project assistants, fellows, student interns, administrative assistants, and other partners as needed. Assists with meeting scheduling, agendas, and minutes and completes other administrative tasks as needed. Data Collection and Management
Develops, maintains, and implements data collection and management plans. Problem-solves among disparate systems to ensure data integrity and timely reports. Supports development of reports, presentations, and other written and visual materials. Communication
Establishes and maintains collaborative interactions with internal and external partners to achieve shared goals. Develops written and visual implementation science materials (e.g., website content, presentations, social media posts). Plans, develops, and disseminates Center communications using systems such as MailChimp, Zoom, Outlook, and LinkedIn. Maintains and updates the Center’s WordPress website and social media accounts. Works cooperatively with internal and external staff, faculty, and partners. Qualifications
Required
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree plus 5-8 years of research or project management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in and/or willingness to be trained in implementation science. Experience with online data collection and management tools such as Qualtrics, MailChimp, Zapier, and Zoom, or equivalent systems. Experience contributing to reports, presentations, web content, communications, and/or other written and visual materials. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively as a team member with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and anticipate needs to advance projects. Strong oral and written communication skills and sound judgment when interacting with outside parties. Ability to collaborate with staff at all levels, including management and executive leadership. Commitment to diversity and serving a diverse population. Preferred
Master’s degree. 5-8 years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or similar role. Experience with STATA or other statistical software is desirable but not required. Experience with WordPress or other web development tools is desirable but not required. Understanding of research design, implementation, and analysis. Training, experience, and interest in implementation science. Driven work ethic to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced setting. Department Contacts
