Overview Quality Control Manager at Jabil. This role is based onsite at Jabil’s Aerospace & Defense manufacturing facility and is responsible for leading the quality engineering team, ensuring process excellence, and collaborating with global customer accounts.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, and develop Quality Engineers and Quality Supervisors.

Utilize the training matrix to drive cross‑training and career development, and implement training programs for direct and indirect employees.

Drive employee satisfaction survey results and manage recognition programs.

Establish measurable performance goals, provide ongoing coaching and counseling, and conduct professional evaluations.

Coordinate activities of large teams, prioritize initiatives, and ensure recognition and rewards are managed fairly and consistently.

Maintain clear communication across departments using verbal and written channels.

Lead business strategy: define, develop, and implement Quality Engineering strategies aligned with campus objectives, and provide regular updates to the Site Quality Manager.

Manage cost by streamlining processes, applying standard work, and monitoring cost trends.

Participate in APQP processes for NPI launches, Phase Gate Reviews, and supplier quality strategy.

Evaluate and improve inspection processes through inspection aids and instruction guidelines.

Support global training programs and develop document systems for global customer accounts.

Review customer discrepancies, coordinate CAPA effectiveness, and oversee Process Quality projects in soldering and conformal coating.

Interface with Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to meet facility goals; ensure Lean and Kaizen projects are completed on schedule.

Adhere to all safety, health, security rules, and company policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality, or a related field (required).

Master’s degree preferred.

At least 5+ years of experience in electronics circuit card assembly (required).

At least 2+ years of management experience (required).

Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.

Preferred Qualifications

Lean / Six Sigma – Green Belt or equivalent.
