About the Job
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the full scope of a Summit Installation project. This role serves as the main point of contact between the client, internal teams, and any external vendors. The Project Manager manages the workplan and coordinates with internal teams to ensure that the project is completed according to the contracted services, on time, and within budget. All essential functions must be performed without endangering the health and safety of the individual or others.
Responsibilities
Coordinate project planning and execution from signature to finish, ensuring the customer and internal Summit teams are kept informed throughout the project lifecycle.
Define project requirements and scope, develop and manage costs and project timelines to ensure the project stays on track and within client expectations.
Ensure each project adheres to Summit’s Project Management expectations, employing industry best practices and real‑world application insights. Each project is executed with Phase Gates for QA, Ready to Finish alignment for efficient finishes, and learnings are captured in debriefs.
Work closely with internal teams to address budget deviations, ensuring project costs (product, travel, labor) stay within budget.
Identify and resolve project risks, coordinating with Summit teams to implement solutions. Drive timely technical and programmatic decisions, collaborating with internal teams to mitigate any impacts from customer changes or site conditions.
Create initial project workplans in project management planning software. Review and approve detailed workplans from the assembly manager and install foreman.
Manage relationships with external contractors (design & construction) to ensure they understand Summit’s scope, deliverables, and timeline.
Ensure Summit’s drawings are coordinated with customers, architects, construction, and project teams.
Coordinate installation plans with the client and general contractor through meetings and site visits, adjusting timelines as necessary, and resolving roadblocks.
Skills and Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Displays empathy, intuition, and good judgment.
Dependable and organized, able to work independently while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
Strong problem‑solving ability.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
OSHA‑30 Certification (may be provided by Summit).
3+ years of experience in project management, ideally in a technical, installation, or construction‑related field. Proven experience managing complex projects from start to finish, including scoping, planning, execution with cross‑functional teams, and completion.
Preferred: 3+ years experience in the House of Worship industry.
Working Conditions
Occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds to shoulder height and overhead.
Occasionally push, pull, or move up to 90 pounds on carts, and carry or move up to 50 pounds over short distances.
Frequently required to stand, walk, or move for 8+ hours, including bending, twisting, reaching, crouching, squatting, stooping, and kneeling.
Ability to climb and work at heights of 6+ feet, including the use of ladders or steps.
Work Location In person. Our headquarters is located in Colorado, but we are looking for a system design engineer in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
Job Type Full‑time
Salary Starting at $79,000.00 - $99,000.00 per year, based on experience.

Travel may be required 30‑45% of the time, with travel days and hours subject to fluctuation based on project demands. Availability for work is required seven days per week, from Monday through Sunday.
