Quality Receiving Inspector Location: North Hollywood, CA Temp Assignment: 3-6 mos Pay Rate Range: $26.49 - $28.67/hr 1st Shift: 5am - 1:30pm (Mon-Fri) Position Summary:

Performs receiving or in-process inspection of precision parts, materials and assemblies following established inspection requirements and procedures.

Inspects for conformance to drawings and specifications.

Inspect a wide variety of precision machine parts for size, length, finish, hardness, concentricity, plating thickness and angles as may be checked by use of inspection hand tools, comparators or check fixtures.

Inspect machined parts for proper material, correctness of certification covering such processes as heat treat, brazing, plating, painting, etc.

Inspect raw, partly processed and finished parts and material, accessories and assemblies received from suppliers.

Make visual, dimensional and operational checks or material tests as required.

Do the more routine type of surface pla(??) work and/or layouts not requiring an excessive amount of computations.

Prepare and maintain required inspection reports and records.

Assist in the activity of other inspectors as directed. Perform related work requiring equal or lesser skill.

Ability to read and interpret part and assembly drawings and specifications.

Thorough knowledge of inspection practices and procedures applicable to parts, assemblies and materials.

Ability to skillfully use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.

General knowledge of shop operations and processes. Knowledge of shop mathematics.

Punctual.

Organized.

Detailed.

High level of accuracy.

Able to work with minimal supervision.

Customer service driven.

Able to manage multiple tasks.

Professional conduct at all times.

Education, Experiences, Certificates/Licenses and/or Registrations: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.

High school diploma or GED, Or knowledge of shop mathematics and 5 + years experience in aerospace Quality Assurance.

Or a combination of the above, and 5 + years experience in aerospace Quality Assurance.

Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods and stand to perform work. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift, push, pull or move up to fifty (50) pounds or more with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

Occasionally required to lift up to 30 lbs.

Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.

Safety glasses, shop coat/apron, proper shoes.

Occasional exposure to shop element such as noise, dust, odors and fumes.
