Overview
Position: Assistant Program Manager - BASE Location: Redstone Elementary, Douglas County School District Salary: Base pay range $20.25/hr - $32.28/hr (full salary range $20.25 - $32.28, see details below) Responsibilities
Responsible for supervising and guiding children in the program; supervise and direct staff. Assist Program Manager in leading and managing daily operations of the program; assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating programming and services; assist in ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Develop and promote good community relations among various community members and school clientele. Promote positive behavior and healthy peer relationships; utilize strategies for promoting social and emotional development. Assist Director in demonstrating compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Utilize positive techniques to support and guide behavior and promote respectful and cooperative interactions among children. Collaborate with families and other involved providers to understand strengths and needs of all children, including those who are highly impacted; develop strategies for safe and meaningful participation. Plan and implement program activities that help children learn life skills, explore interests, and contribute to the community. Ensure safety of children by providing sufficient and appropriate supervision at all times. Coach, mentor, and direct others to meet program and department goals. Required Education & Qualifications
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Must have verifiable education or training in work with school-age children in areas such as recreation, education, scouting, or 4-H, and must have completed at least one of the following qualifications: A four-year college degree with a major such as recreation, outdoor education, education with a specialty in art, elementary or early childhood education, or a subject in the human service field; or Two years of college training and six (6) months (910 hours) of satisfactory and verifiable full-time or equivalent part-time, paid or volunteer experience with four or more children; or Three years of experience and one of the following qualifications: six semester hours or nine quarter hours of relevant coursework; or 40 clock hours of training in injury prevention and playground safety for School-Aged Child Care Centers within the first nine months of employment.
