The Lean Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the manufacturing facility by implementing Lean principles, tools, and methodologies. This role leads cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve productivity, quality, and safety. Responsibilities
Reports directly to Plant leadership, will not manage personnel or have direct reports Lead Lean transformation initiatives across the plant, aligning with strategic goals. Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, 5S, and other Lean activities. Train and coach employees at all levels on Lean tools and problem-solving techniques. Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and track performance metrics. Collaborate with leadership to integrate Lean thinking into daily operations and long-term planning. Develop and maintain standard work procedures and visual management systems. Support cost reduction, process optimization, and quality improvement projects. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred but not required 5+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement roles. Strong knowledge of Lean principles (Kaizen, 5S, VSM, TPM, SMED, etc.). Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence change. Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills. Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is a plus. Seniority level
