Summary
An established Aviation MRO company is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee daily stockroom operations and ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant handling of aircraft parts, materials, and tooling. This role plays a key part in keeping production on schedule and maintaining compliance with FAA and AS9100 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily stockroom activities including receiving, storing, issuing, and returning engine parts, consumables, and tooling.
Lead, train, and schedule stockroom team members to meet production and compliance goals.
Maintain accurate inventory records using Quantum; perform cycle counts, audits, and resolve discrepancies.
Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material availability and minimize downtime.
Monitor shelf-life items and manage traceable, serialized, and hazardous materials.
Support audits and ensure full compliance with FAA, EASA, and AS9100C standards.
Identify and implement process improvements to optimize material flow and space utilization.
Promote a safe and organized work environment aligned with OSHA and company safety policies.
Job Requirements Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or materials management.
Prior supervisory or lead experience required.
Experience in Aviation MRO or aerospace industry strongly preferred.
Proficient in Quantum and Microsoft Office.
Working knowledge of FAA requirements and aviation material traceability standards.
Experience managing warehouse operations of $10M+ in inventory value is a plus.
