Real Time Crime Center Analyst - Part-Time

Job Overview
Under limited supervision, the Part‑Time Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) Analyst provides real‑time analytical and operational support to law enforcement personnel by monitoring and evaluating information from various surveillance and public safety platforms. This part‑time hourly position ( 28 hours max per week ) has no benefits.
Major Duties
Monitor real‑time camera feeds and integrated platforms through FUSUS.
Analyze data from LPR systems including Flock and Axon, as well as body‑worn cameras and gunshot detection systems to identify suspicious or criminal activity.
Assist officers and investigators by retrieving video evidence and supporting data relevant to ongoing or prior incidents.
Use CAD, RMS, and open‑source intelligence tools to generate investigative leads or officer safety information.
Communicate time‑sensitive updates and situational alerts to patrol and investigative personnel during live incidents.
Maintain detailed logs and records of RTCC activities and notable events during assigned shifts.
Generate reports, bulletins, and summaries to support criminal investigations and trend analysis.
Support multi‑agency coordination and partnerships through data sharing and RTCC‑related initiatives.
Participate in special projects or event monitoring as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, homeland security, information technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
At least one year of experience in law enforcement, surveillance, intelligence, or public safety support.
Certification:
Must obtain and maintain GCIC/NCIC certification within 30 days of hire.
Skills:
Proficient in computer systems, data interpretation, and possess strong communication and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of real‑time surveillance technologies and public safety databases including FUSUS, Flock LPR, Axon systems, CAD, and RMS.
Understanding of law enforcement protocols and response procedures.
Familiarity with basic criminal intelligence gathering and situational awareness practices.
Proficiency in interpreting video feeds, data logs, and geospatial information.
Skill in multitasking and critical thinking in high‑pressure environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Demands Work is primarily sedentary, requiring long periods of viewing monitors and data input. May require some light lifting of equipment or files.
Work Environment Work is performed in a secure operations center. Requires alertness, confidentiality, and the ability to work during critical incidents or extended hours as needed.
