PURPOSE Support Advanced Quality Improvement department goals and objectives by coordinating, testing, and evaluating trial vehicles and parts related to software development in an automotive manufacturing environment. Complete issue investigations and provide feedback for overall vehicle design improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and track Engineering Order and Model Change testing activities with related departments.
Improve software quality by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in controller interaction.
Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.
Participate in Benchmark activities of competitor vehicles.
Gather data, test, and monitor software in new and current model production.
Evaluate vehicles and new technology at each stage of New Model Process.
Conduct key engineering order trials, testing, and investigation activities.
Participate in complex issue investigations related to software in respect to infotainment/ADAS system and develop recommended countermeasures.
Ability to analyze software coding and data to improve controller‑to‑controller interaction.
Create and present evaluation activity reports.
Capable of working with various analysis equipment INCA, CAN BUS analyzer.
Attend required meetings.
Administer, coordinate, and comply with all BMS, EMS, and SMS requirements.
Meet all other requirements as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering degree is a must have.
0-10 years of job‑related experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
C/C++.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS / WORKING SCHEDULE
Location:
Montgomery, AL
Schedule:
Day shift, 40 h/week with flexibility to include weekends, holidays, and off‑shift.
Overtime:
Position may require on‑call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
Travel:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign).
