Quality Inspector - 1st Shift
Location: Twinsburg, OH.
Job Description
Minimum of 5 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment demonstrating increasing accountability.
Working knowledge of aviation industry compliance standards, including ISO 9001 and AS 9100.
Experience with gauge calibration and verification activities.
Experienced in reading part blueprints and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with Microsoft Office 2000 or greater.
Use standard measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, dial indicators, comparators, and vision systems to verify products and improve problem‑solving and implementation of improvements.
Perform inspection operations in the following areas: Final Inspection, Incoming Inspection, First & Last Piece Inspection, First Article Inspection.
Responsible for creation of nonconformance documentation (NCRs) when discrepancies are detected at any inspection stage.
Maintain and support SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) initiatives.
Ensure that quality requirements are followed and act as a liaison between production associates and quality requirements.
Maintain inspection data during daily inspections and ensure all paperwork is in its proper place at the end of the shift.
Strong communication skills with the Quality team and Production Associates.
Assist with calibration and verification of gauges and help troubleshooting and resolving gauge issues.
