Overview
New Bern, NC / Full-time — CDC Process Specialist I, 2nd Shift
Responsibilities
Process Specialist is responsible for knowing all warehouse positions in shipping and receiving, backing up key personnel when needed and training new associates.
The CDC Process Specialist is also responsible for assisting in maintaining product flow and promoting a team environment. This includes meeting production goals, safety awareness, and meeting quality levels.
Provide proper training for positions in the warehouse, including methods, quality, safety, productivity and product handling knowledge.
Perform all positions on the warehouse floor as needed due to absenteeism or business need.
Ability to define and solve problems within the warehouse area.
Perform all required job functions in a safe manner consistent with warehouse standards and report any problems immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader.
Perform required paperwork such as quality checks, productivity, layered audits, etc. if needed.
Utilize SAP when needed.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Maintain quality throughout the logistic processes.
Daily follow-up with Warehouse Supervisor to foster a positive team environment.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High-School Diploma – Required
Certification (Forklift) – Required
0-2 Years of Experience (Production Environment) – Required
Basic understanding of sound manufacturing processes, plant safety and environmental regulations.
Knowledge of variety of warehouse machines, equipment and work stations, calculator, test and measurement instruments, basic hand tools and computer.
Knowledge of equipment at CDC
Ability to effectively train personnel
Understanding of sound logistics and warehouse processes, plant safety and environmental regulations.
Warehouse background in related departmental area. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and procedures. Operational knowledge of all CDC equipment and SAP as it relates to the area.
Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $22.17 - $30.58
Incentive Plan: Annual Bonus
Incentive Target: 1%
Shift: Second
