Overview
The Mopar Advanced Diagnostics Lead owns the following core deliverables / responsibilities for all vehicles produced or sold by Stellantis North America:
Development of diagnostic-related service strategies for new vehicle technologies
Lead the Aftersales remote diagnostics project including cross-functional coordination of design requirements, customer case support, KPI reporting, and budget support
Facilitate cross-functional diagnostic strategy sessions within Aftersales and with applicable Engineering colleagues
Identify & coordinate Electronic Control Unit (ECU)-focused service requirements with Design Release Engineers and other stakeholders
Assess / enforce compliance to diagnostic protocols, specifications, and diagnostic design requirements on upcoming vehicles / systems
Track & report diagnostic readiness of ECUs for new model launches
The Advanced Diagnostics Lead must collaboratively shape the diagnostic strategy from product design phase through product launch. They will also be responsible for a small team.
The success of this team directly impacts the technician's ability to fix our customer vehicles right the first time.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
5+ years experience with automotive electronics, vehicle diagnostics, or as a dealership / independent repair shop technician
Strong understanding of dealership service operations & the technician workflow for vehicle repairs
Demonstrated ability to plan and achieve targets on-time and with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect to individuals at all levels
Strong conflict resolution and innovation skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with office productivity tools, such as presentations, spreadsheets, word processor applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
Preferred Qualifications:
Automotive repair experience including usage of the automotive diagnostic process, wiring diagrams, and remove / install procedures
Basic understanding of computer software language, software analysis & troubleshooting (XML, UDS CAN, software logs, CAN bus logs)
Experience diagnosing vehicles remotely
Experience with automotive connectivity systems or working with vehicle connectivity data
Cross-functional project lead experience
Understanding of automotive diagnostic scan tools, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment including Stellantis' wiTECH dealer scan tool
Working knowledge of Stellantis Engineering change management systems
Experience using data analytics or business intelligence tools to solve problems
Multi-lingual (written & verbal)
