Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a
Program Manager
to join a talented team within our
RF Systems Portfolio . In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of scientists, engineers, and analysts supporting advanced radar and weapon systems research and development in a high-fidelity modeling and simulation (M&S) environment.
You will lead all program management functions for a technical team developing and executing complex M&S studies for customers and stakeholders. This program supports multiple air defense systems across the joint services, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on mission success.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee all program activities to ensure alignment with program objectives.
Lead meetings, customer visits, reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
Engage regularly with team members and customers to assess progress and ensure alignment with requirements.
Lead and contribute to internal program reviews.
Mentor and develop program staff.
Communicate program mission, goals, and objectives while providing strategic direction.
Track and manage cost, schedule, and contract actions, and report to the Portfolio Manager.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an
ABET-accredited university .
8-12
years of experience managing projects or programs or Masters with
6-10
years of experience
managing projects or programs
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience with
air and missile defense systems
(radars and/or weapons).
Proven ability to lead a multidisciplinary technical team (engineering, computer science, math, physics, etc.).
Experience working in a
modeling and simulation (M&S)
environment.
Ability to coordinate across industry and Government stakeholders.
U.S. citizenship
required. Must possess and maintain an active
DoD Top Secret clearance .
Must be a
resident of Huntsville, AL , or willing to
relocate
to the Huntsville area.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a complex M&S environment with
high-performance computing equipment .
Strong understanding of
integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD)
systems and concepts.
Proven success leading and managing a multidisciplinary technical team.
Master’s degree
from an ABET-accredited university.
8+ years
of experience managing technical programs.
