Compensation and Benefits Estimated Hiring Salary Range: $45,017.00 - $54,764.00
Full Salary Range: $45,017.00 - $80,557.00 Annually

This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

Maintain and operate key investigative technologies and systems, including:
Fusus Intelligence Ecosystem
Viglant LPR ,
Flock Safety Automated License Plate Reader , and
Raven Audio Detection Systems
AXON Evidence.com
for body‑worn and vehicle camera footage
Verkada Platform Security System
LexisNexis ,
LINX ,
TLO ,
NCAWARE ,
CJLEADS ,
NCIC/DCI , and other databases as required
Review newly submitted criminal investigation reports and identify data connections, patterns, or leads
Conduct in-depth research and analysis on suspects, stolen property, NIBIN results, and crime gun data
Collect and interpret information from police records, surveillance systems, financial documentation, communication records, and open‑source platforms
Verify data accuracy and reliability; compile findings into reports, charts, and visual presentations
Provide actionable intelligence to assist detectives and officers in
crime prevention, suspect identification, and case development
Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of
data‑informed policing strategies
Collaborate with
local, state, and federal agencies
to share information and enhance crime‑fighting efforts
Certification Requirement
Must obtain DCI Certification from the State of North Carolina within six (6) months of hire

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree with 1+ years' experience researching, collecting, evaluating, and analyzing data from multiple sources to provide actionable intelligence in support of criminal investigations and law enforcement operations, or directly related experience as it pertains to the job description
Or
High School Diploma with 4+ years' experience researching, collecting, evaluating, and analyzing data from multiple sources to provide actionable intelligence in support of criminal investigations and law enforcement operations, or directly related experience as it pertains to the job description
Valid Driver's License
Department of Criminal Information (DCI) certification from the State of North Carolina (or the ability to obtain within six weeks of hire date)
Preferred Qualifications
Prior/Current experience working in the Criminal Justice system or Law Enforcement
Prior/Current certification with the State Division of Criminal Information
Experience with Investigative Case follow-up
