Security Service Federal Credit Union The Sr. Mortgage Quality Assurance Specialist manages and oversees all aspects of the Quality Control plan(s) for multiple platforms, the quality of loan files, the process of loan file submissions, works with business stakeholders: originations, operations, and underwriting to determine if identified defects are warranted, determines remediation options, and collaborates in providing accurate reconciliation data for monthly audit reports to leadership. Mentor QA team members and work directly with third-party audit vendor on timely completion of identified defects to ensure final publication deliverables are consistently met. Analyze identified defects, identify trends, system errors, and processing gaps during quality control reviews with the guidance and direction of the QA Manager. Ensure escalated identified system errors and processing gaps have been successfully reported, and actively being worked or resolved by business stakeholders. Develop quality control, operational and servicing reporting with the guidance and direction of the QA Manager. Collaborate in the development and maintenance of mortgage operations and/or compliance training with the guidance and direction of the QA Manager. Develop and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) analysis tools and reports to support business needs with the guidance and direction of the QA Manager. Develop the writing and maintenance of internal desktop manuals that document business processes for QA with the guidance and direction of the QA Manager. What We Require Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or equivalent education and/or experience Ten (10) years mortgage operation experience Seven (7) years mortgage quality control audit experience and seven (7) years mortgage underwriting experience Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage and servicing related regulations Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and be capable of learning advanced skills in all applications Ideal Candidate Will Have Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or equivalent education and/or experience Knowledge of Credit Union Core Systems and mortgage systems, mortgage procedures, credit union and governmental agency regulations and policies Ad hoc reporting and analysis for key internal and external business stakeholders including risk, compliance, and third-party vendors Well versed in secondary market, private mortgage insurance, VA, FHA, and state/federal regulations governing mortgage origination
