We have multiple shifts available, 1st/3rd shift weekdays and 1st/3rd shift weekends. Shift differentials are provided. New hires will be on 1st shift during training, travel may be required during first weeks of employment for training.

This position assists with installation, troubleshooting and repairing, and other general tasks related to the maintenance, installations and repair of Avionics systems and components on a variety of aircraft product models.

Responsibilities of this position include:

Troubleshoots and repairs all avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft

Communicates with department manager or crew chief on any problems or repairs

Ensure all work performed is inspected by an authorized repair station inspector

Prepares various documents for record keeping purposes as required by company policies, FAA approved repair station and quality control manuals, all FAA regulations, OEM aircraft manufacturer manuals, etc.

Learns, understands and follows the company work order and parts requisition process as written.

Maintains a clean, neat, and efficient work area

Repairs and calibrates shop equipment as assigned

Top candidates will possess:

Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor

Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations

Organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment

Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedural manuals

Excellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to work

Other requirements include:

7+ years experience working on and troubleshooting aircraft avionics and airframe systems.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145.

Experience working with and repairing the following aircraft systems:

Autopilots, Flight Management Systems, Navigation and Communication Systems, EFIS, Aircraft Electrical Systems, Lighting, Pitot and Static Systems

Any bench repair capabilities preferred

A&P License / FCC License a plus
