About the Well‑Managed Solutions Team SCS manages over 2 billion customer interactions annually. The Well‑Managed Solutions (WMS) team is leading a multi‑year transformation with a focus on:
Strengthening the Control Ecosystem—working with card business areas to enhance risk mitigation and compliance.
Amplifying Simplification & Automation—integrating work to drive efficiency and reduce manual processes.
Driving Sustainability—adopting digital solutions and right‑sized governance.
This role requires a collaborative mindset and a balanced approach to driving effectiveness and efficiency across our operations. It is ideal for someone comfortable adjusting their approach to meet the diverse needs of stakeholders in a complex organization.
Responsibilities
Merge and clean large datasets from multiple sources to support forecasting and risk insights.
Build and validate forecasting models to anticipate risk and operational performance.
Design and implement innovative performance metrics to track business and supplier outcomes.
Partner directly with leadership as a co‑developer of strategy and proactive insights.
Translate technical findings into business recommendations that drive decisions.
Work independently with strong ownership of deliverables and minimal supervision.
Stay curious: explore new tools, test approaches, and share learnings.
Partner cross‑functionally to provide strategic and tactical thought‑partnership to evolve automation opportunities.
Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders.
Further the Well‑Managed agenda within SCS to drive sustainability, simplification, automation, ownership, accountability, and control.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
At least 3 years of experience in data analytics, forecasting, or quantitative modeling.
At least 3 years of experience using Python (cleaning, modeling, visualization).
At least 2 years of experience handling complex datasets, identifying trends, and developing metrics.
At least 2 years of experience using Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
5 + years of experience in forecast modeling, risk analytics, or advanced metrics development.
3 + years of experience within the financial services industry.
2 + years of experience in supply‑chain analytics or operations data.
2 + years of consulting experience.
Work‑From‑Home Technology Requirements
Secure home office with no background noise and distractions.
Reliable private internet connection not supplied via cellular data or hotspot.
Private, password‑protected network with ownership or line of sight of every device.
Internet service provided by cable or fiber ISP; hotspots and satellite services prohibited.
VPN download speeds of at least 5 Mbps (10 + Mbps preferred).
Both hardwire and Wi‑Fi connections acceptable provided speed and security requirements are met.
Salary and Benefits Full‑time salary range: $106,700 – $121,700, varies by location. Eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and long‑term incentives. Capital One offers a comprehensive benefits package supporting health, financial, and overall well‑being.
