Quality Assurance/Quality Control Specialist
The Quality Control and Development Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all service requests are completed either by staff or third‑party contractor to the highest standard of workmanship. Also responsible for inspection of common areas daily for compliance with company standards.
What you'll be doing
Complete Gas and Venting inspection for HVAC, Water heaters and gas appliances
Assist with inspecting craftsmanship for service requests with contractors and staff
Ensure that any workmanship that is not completed to standards is immediately corrected and follow through until completed satisfactorily
Identify the cause of any substandard work of personnel and collaborate with management on a corrective action plan, which may include additional training or disciplinary action as warranted
Identify the cause of any substandard work performed by contractor and collaborate with management on a corrective action plan, which may include withholding payments or contract termination
Author and create all corresponding documentation through the Yardi inspection app, track inspection results, and review these with the Operations Director and Facility Manager on a weekly basis
Retrieve and enter data into/from the property management database system (Yardi) throughout the process and communicate findings to site management
Typical Physical Demands Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, equipment, supplies, and office equipment. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move equipment and supplies up to 75 lbs.
Typical Work Conditions Work is performed in a maintenance/office/residential home environment. Employee frequently interacts directly with other staff members, contractors as well as residents during the workday.
Who we're looking for
High school diploma or GED
HVAC certification preferred
Certificate for CO2 analyzer and Gas Detectors or ability to complete course within 90 days of employment
Mech IV Certification or ability to complete course within 90 days of employment
Combustible gas indicator Certification or ability to complete course within 90 days of employment
Minimum of 5 years HVAC experience
Must possess basic skills with tools, proficient in repairing HVAC systems, appliances, kitchen operating systems, electrical wiring, and bathroom and plumbing systems
Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and adept at learning additional software
Demonstrated strong customer service skills
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Required Mech IV, Combustible gas indicator, and CO2 analyzer and Gas Detectors certifications if not already possessed
Possession of a valid state‑issued Driver’s License and safe driving record is required.
