The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northern Region Highways and Aviation Denali District is looking for an Equipment Operator Journey 2 to help us keep Alaska moving. About the Role
Equipment Operator Journey 2
: Responsible for operating and servicing heavy and light‑duty equipment for the maintenance of State highways and airports within the District. Responsibilities
Operating and servicing heavy and light‑duty equipment for the maintenance of State highways and airports within the District. Maintaining road surfaces, vegetation, signs, culverts, bridges, fences, and drainage structures within the State of Alaska Right‑of‑Way. Performing traffic control duties, including flagging. Operating graders for ditching, blading, and snow plowing operations. Driving semi‑tractor with belly dump, dozers, loaders, and water tankers on gravel surfaces. Operating 8‑yard dump trucks with sander units for winter plowing and hauling aggregate in summer. Operating dozers (D4 to D7) for material removal and placement. Conducting welding and cutting for equipment maintenance and repairs. Performing miscellaneous duties such as vehicle maintenance, flagging, manual labor, and shop cleanup. Operating steam boilers for thawing drainage structures. Mission

A Class A Alaska Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with N‑Tanker endorsement is required at time of hire. An N‑Tanker endorsement must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Education

If education is completed in a foreign college or university, evidence of equivalency is required. Work Experience
