We’re looking for a Quality Specialist II to join our Quality team on 3rd shift. This role plays a critical role in food safety and quality monitoring activities, including GMP compliance, pre‑operational inspections, and calibration verification. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, passionate about food safety, and driven to uphold the highest GMP standards.
Schedule: 3rd shift M‑F 10:45pm‑7:15am
You will get to:
Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by providing accurate documentation and clear explanations
Conduct and document pre‑operational inspections to verify sanitation effectiveness, communicating any deficiencies to Manufacturing
Report and document quality or food safety concerns promptly, and assist in investigations related to non‑conformances
Participate in root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions
Identify, control, and document non‑conforming products to prevent release
Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity through regular audits
Serve as a quality resource during government inspections, providing policy explanations, label records, and related documentation
Monitor production processes for compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and other food safety programs
Verify calibration of equipment, thermometers, scales, and testing instruments
Enforce sanitation, allergen control, and food safety policies during production
Assist in training production team members on quality and food safety standards
We are looking for someone who has:
Generally two (2) years of experience in food manufacturing with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
HACCP certification required
Working knowledge of food safety, microbiology, and quality systems, including HACCP, SQF, and GMP standards, with the ability to apply them in daily practice
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
Able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make informed decisions
Skilled at identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear and concise report writing
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital systems for documentation and reporting
