Insight Global is seeking a Plant Manager for a chemical & adhesive manufacturing company based in Torrington, CT. This candidate will oversee manufacturing operations for the Torrington adhesive production site by leading plant activities and ensuring that safe, efficient, and high-quality output consistently meets delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction goals. Also, to maintain operational excellence by coordinating production, equipment manufacturing, and maintenance functions in alignment with company strategies and approved budget.

Key Responsibilities

Meet production goals by managing adhesive manufacturing and keeping operations safe and efficient.

Lead and support teams by setting clear expectations, mentoring managers, and encouraging teamwork.

Follow all safety and environmental rules (PSM, OSHA, ISO 9001) and make sure safe practices are part of daily work.

Improve processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM to cut waste and boost productivity.

Control costs and plan for equipment upgrades by managing budgets and recommending smart investments.

Keep equipment running smoothly with preventive maintenance and quick fixes when needed.

Maintain high product quality by enforcing checks, solving issues, and reducing defects and complaints.

Ensure all departments work together by standardizing processes, KPIs, and reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering

10+ years of progressive leadership in chemical manufacturing operations

5+ years managing multi-function teams and managers

Proficiency in using ERP systems (JDE-E1 most desirable – and Microsoft Office Suite)

Experience managing operational budget and project growth

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Demonstrated success in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM application (green or black belt)

Customer-service driven, improvement-minded, detail-oriented, and proactive

Experience with chemical, plastic, or pharmaceutical production

Compensation $170,000 - $190,000/year. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k)-retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment.
