SIC Rigging Foreman (GBORO MSL)

Location Greensboro, NC (travel to NC/SC/GA)
Job Summary Rigging Foremen will work out of our Greensboro office on job sites across NC/SC/GA. Must be willing to travel. Responsible for setting up hoisting equipment, securing steel members, aligning members, and ensuring safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sets up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members.
Fastens steel members to hoist cable using chain, cable, or rope.
Signals worker operating hoisting equipment to lift and place steel member.
Guides member using tag line (rope).
Pulls, pushes, or pries steel members into approximate position while member is supported by hoisting device.
Forces members into final position using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and hand tools.
Aligns holes in member with corresponding holes in previously placed member by drifting drift pins or handle of wrench through holes.
Verifies vertical and horizontal alignment of members using plumb bob and level.
Bolts aligned members to keep them in position until they can be permanently bolted or welded in place.
Alter steel members.
Detects, recognizes, and responds to dangerous conditions or situations.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Skilled in written and verbal communication.
Complete all Safety and general job training required by SIC.
Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes at all times.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Work in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties; frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather.
Safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions and confined spaces.
Stand for long periods, bend consistently, work in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, workboats, and awkward body positions.
