Job Overview
The Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for all sales activities, from growing current business to targeting and securing new business and driving new sales growth within the assigned territory. Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company mission, vision and values. Also responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategies, building client and partner relationships, and driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Market analysis, creating sales projections, preparing and giving presentations, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal sales and marketing teams.
Primary focus is to increase revenue stream from current client accounts and proactively develop new accounts from leads generated by marketing activities.
Develop new prospects and interact with existing customers by phone, email and face‑to‑face to build region and increase sales.
Conduct sales presentations for clinical diagnostic services in client office as well as over the phone and web meetings.
Follow‑up marketing activity leads by generating customer interest and acquiring new accounts.
Participate in regular sales team meetings to review sales performance against objectives and goals.
Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
Demonstrate the ability to carry on a business conversation with physicians and decision makers.
Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients of the various products and services the company offers.
Source and develop client relationships and referrals.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, compliance and business ethics codes.
Willing to take on other work‑related duties as assigned.
Required Skillset
Strategy and planning: Analyze regional market trends, conduct market analysis, and develop business plans and growth models to achieve sales and revenue targets.
Client and partner relations: Identify, develop, and maintain key relationships with potential and existing clients, partners, and decision‑makers.
Sales and negotiations: Pursue new leads, prepare and deliver sales presentations, and negotiate contracts on behalf of the company.
Reporting and analysis: Monitor sales progress, track expenses, and prepare reports on regional performance for senior management.
Collaboration: Work with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to align strategy and execute sales initiatives.
Job Specifications
Four‑year degree preferred within Biology or Nutrition.
2+ years of inside/outside sales/marketing/business development experience, preferably in the medical industry.
Must have an outgoing and ambitious personality as well as goal oriented.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate opportunities and create projections.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency with MS Office and CRM software is a plus.
Experience with sales, account management, and developing business strategies.
Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively, and demonstrate high integrity.
Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
