The Work You Will Do Strategic Outreach Coordinator/Office of Administration This position will serve as the outreach and customer service support for transportation projects, programs, services, and internal departments designed to improve safety and enhance mobility on Florida’s Turnpike System.

Where You Will Work Office of Administration We are hiring for multiple positions in Boca Raton, Fl 33434; Orlando, FL 32835; and/or Pompano Beach, FL 33607.
Your Specific Responsibilities
Outreach and Customer Service Support: Serve as outreach and customer service support for transportation projects, programs, services, and internal departments designed to improve safety and enhance mobility on Florida’s Turnpike System. Respond to inquiries and provide accurate, timely information to the public, stakeholders, and agency staff. Support agency efforts to ensure consistent, professional communication across all outreach activities. Assignments may be associated with some travel. Overnight travel may be required.
Development and Management of Outreach Materials: Create, prepare, edit, and distribute effective outreach materials including presentations, reports, research documents, press releases, talking points, social media posts, and financial spreadsheets. Develop graphic content such as fact sheets, newsletters, and other transportation-related materials to support statewide outreach initiatives. Maintain and manage files, records, and content libraries for quick access and compliance with agency standards.
Event and Meeting Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of internal/external events, meetings, and training. Attend and actively participate in public meetings, community events, and special assignments as required. Handle incoming and outgoing calls, emails, and correspondence to ensure clear and timely communication. Assist with research, data analysis, and special projects as assigned.
Project Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with multiple project managers across all disciplines to advance department goals. Serve as a liaison and point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, building relationships and facilitating effective communication.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge Of
Grammar, editing, and effective writing techniques
Principles and practices of public outreach and customer service
Public meeting planning and event coordination
Skills In
Graphic design and content creation tools
Creating presentations, reporting formats, and communication tools
Using a computer with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Creating clear, engaging, and accurate outreach materials
Managing multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines
Building and maintaining positive working relationships with diverse audiences
Ability To
Communicate effectively in verbal and written formats
Work effectively with the public, stakeholders, and staff at all organizational levels
Adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Exercise discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information
Travel overnight when necessary to support outreach and events
Other Job-Related Requirements
Statewide and overnight travel may be required.
