Position Purpose A Research Project Manager (RPM) is needed to support the Administrative Core team on the COBRE and DCIS center to manage daily activities for training, grant and program management, and coordination with center directors, cores, RPLs, and PPLs. The RPM will plan, manage, and execute the day‑to‑day administration and operation of the Dartmouth Center for Implementation Science, coordinating Center activities, managing data systems, and developing communications. The role will serve as an integral member of the Center team to develop and achieve project objectives, facilitate the execution of project plans, communicate project status to leadership, and resolve problems.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management: Organize, review, facilitate, and track project tasks and reporting; develop and steward project activities; develop project management plans including objectives, timelines, and resource allocations; resolve issues and supervise project assistants, fellows, interns, and other partners; assist with meeting scheduling and administrative tasks.
Data Collection and Management: Develop, maintain, and implement data collection and management plans; problem‑solve across disparate systems to ensure data integrity and achievement of deadlines and benchmarks; support development of reports, presentations, and other written and visual materials.
Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external partners; develop written and visual implementation science materials (e.g., website content, presentations, social media posts); assist with planning, development, and dissemination of Center communications using multiple systems (MailChimp, Zoom, Outlook, LinkedIn); maintain and update the Center’s WordPress website and social media accounts; work cooperatively with internal and external staff, faculty, and partners.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5–8 years of research or project management experience, or equivalent.
Experience in and/or willingness to be trained in implementation science.
Experience with online data collection and management tools such as Qualtrics, MailChimp, Zapier, and Zoom.
Experience contributing to reports, presentations, web content, and other written and visual materials.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team member.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and anticipate needs.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills and ability to use sound judgment in interacting with outside parties.
Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff, management, and executive leadership.
Commitment to diversity and serving the needs of a diverse population.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
5–8 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or similar role.
Experience with STATA or other statistical software.
Experience with WordPress or other web development tools.
Understanding of research design, implementation, and analysis.
Training, experience, and interest in implementation science.
Driven work ethic to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple projects in a fast‑paced setting.
