Nebraska Medicine . Position Highlights: The Solid Organ Transplant Unit (SOTU) is a 36-bed med-surg unit and Nebraska’s only solid organ transplant unit. It provides care for adult pre- and post-liver, kidney, pancreas, intestinal, and islet cell transplant patients, offering medical, surgical, telemetry, and progressive care. The unit also hosts the Intestinal Rehab Program, the busiest in the U.S., caring for patients from around the world. This position offers growth opportunities through teamwork, managing complex cases, and transplant fellowship classes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or meeting specific exception criteria Effective communication skills Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility Current RN license in Nebraska or a compact state BLS certification from AHA PALS, ACLS, TNCC or ATCN certifications within specified timeframes depending on department Preferred Qualifications: Prior patient care experience, especially in cardiology, critical care, emergency, or transplant units MSN degree preferred Additional certifications and experience with healthcare software and equipment Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
