Logistics Manager Employment Type:

Full-Time Work hours – 8 am – 5 pm (Mon to Fri). No OT or Weekend. Responsibilities

The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning the logistics operations for receiving and sending out shipments, including managing transportation of goods. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include but are not limited to: ensure the department meets the general requirements of the company (adequate personnel and provisioning, meeting quality and service standards, increasing sales and profit margins, optimizing operations and purchasing control) and align organization to meet objectives. Manage the supply chain. Coordinate and supervise the production, storage, distribution and transport of materials and products. Maximize the efficiency and profitability of logistics operations by optimizing systems, processes, and technology in the supply chain. Design and implement strategic planning for business logistics, warehouse, and transportation of goods and customer service. Identify and assess needs within the supply chain to implement effective solutions and anticipate eventual setbacks. Guarantee high levels of delivery quality, times adjusted to planning and cost minimization. Supervise the planning of transportation, storage, inventory and transit within the entire logistics process of the company. Solve problems in the logistics area to ensure compliance with the planning, minimizing the impact on the delivery and dispatch processes. Manage orders with customers and regulate stock of products in the raw material warehouse and track semi-finished and finished products. Track delivery times for suppliers of raw materials and ancillary items. Manage the means of distribution and dispatch to customers. Arrange shipping services and establish relationships with other companies involved in deliveries. Coordinate with the production department to ensure needed inventory is ready to be shipped on a timely basis. Oversee warehouse management, personnel, and supplies to ensure proper handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments in accordance with established procedures. Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulations applicable to transportation operations and develop policies for improvement or for avoiding problems with shipments. Maintain current knowledge of all regulations and laws which apply to the transportation industry. Schedule activities in specific facilities according to established procedures and input records into the computer system daily. Coach, mentor, or supervise staff engaged in freight operations and maintenance activities, such as receiving personnel, dispatching operators and mechanics on a day-to-day basis. Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulations applicable to transportation operations, which can be helpful in developing policies for improvement or for avoiding problems with shipments. 4+ Years of Experience Computer Skills:
