QA Project Coordinator

The UMB Information Technology organization, driven by a collaborative culture, seeks a QA Project Coordinator to act as the primary liaison between our internal QA teams and external vendor partners. This hybrid role (Mon‑Thu onsite, Fri remote) is located at the UMB Tech Center in downtown Kansas City, MO.
Responsibilities
Serve as the main liaison to vendor QA teams and manage integration activities between UMB and the vendor partner.
Lead and delegate project work and testing activities to vendor QA team members.
Ensure key issues and dependencies have owners and estimated times of arrival (ETAs) from the relevant organizations.
Collaborate with vendor QA leads to ensure appropriate QA resource allocation and capacity.
Communicate statuses with project managers, developers, and internal QA analysts, developing plans, schedules, and implementing small to large‑scale testing projects.
Identify testing roadmap items and contribute to overall project plans.
Improve software quality by developing testing standards, processes, tools, scripts, and automation frameworks.
Support Load, Performance, and Automated testing based on requirements and company standards.
Identify testing requirements, scenarios, and perform manual testing as needed, creating and coordinating testing schedules for projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance, software application testing (manual and automation), and testing management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience managing QA projects across different methodologies.
Hands‑on experience with Waterfall and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
Bonus Points
IT project management or business analysis experience.
Experience in the banking or payments industry.
Applicants must have legal authority to work in the United States. Work Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Compensation Range : $83,200.00 – $178,800.00 (actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other factors).
