We are seeking a
Project Manager I
to support our growing team in
Rochester, NY . In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving project excellence, collaborating with industry leaders, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across complex initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities
Effective leadership in a matrix organization.
Initiation, planning, execution, and closing of projects — defining the project WBS, cost baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, and controlling and managing risks, scope, schedule, and budget.
Managing teams — facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and guiding teams.
Implementation and management of quality and environmental processes and procedures on all projects, focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0.
Management of third-party projects including other transmission customers and interconnecting customers.
Accountable for: cost/budgeting and management; communication management; change management; schedule management; construction management oversight; commissioning management oversight; risk management; regulatory and stakeholder management.
Responsible for the execution and successful completion of the project. Serve as the main point of contact between contractors and the client on all project matters. Monitor and measure project performance and resolve any contract disputes related to costs, scope, and schedule.
Qualifications / Requirements
5-10 years in large-scale projects/program management for utility business
Bachelor's degree is required
Professional Engineer License and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
PMI-ACP or related certification may be noted; Project Management Professional or Program Management Professional
Minimum five (5) years' experience in the functional area under which it will be contracted: Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro, and OSG.
