Base Pay Range
$160,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr
Position Overview Kforce’s client, a financial services firm located in the Saint Louis, MO area, is seeking a dynamic Corporate Development Manager to join their team. The newly created position is responsible for driving investment strategy and executing transactions for our holding company and operating businesses. The role works three days a week in the office and two days remote most weeks.
Responsibilities
Partner with operating company management to develop and implement growth strategies
Conduct market research to identify industries and technologies aligned with our strategic goals
Synthesize data to develop investment theses and prioritize target recommendations
Build and maintain relationships with investment bankers, buy-side advisors, and key intermediaries to ensure a strong pipeline of acquisition opportunities
Represent the company at industry and banker conferences
Evaluate strategic acquisitions, divestitures, and other investment opportunities
Lead financial modeling and market analysis to support target valuations
Manage the due diligence process from initial evaluation to deal closing
Coordinate transaction activities with external advisors (Legal, Financial, Commercial, etc.)
Present business summaries to the Investment Committee throughout the deal process
Support negotiation of deal terms, structure, and agreements
Work with portfolio company management to integrate acquisitions and drive operational synergies
Collaborate on strategic projects across the portfolio
Requirements
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or equivalent experience)
Minimum 5 years of experience building and supporting investment portfolios in the middle market (ideally 7+ years)
Full life cycle experience in corporate development, transaction advisory, or investment banking
Strong executive presence and relationship-building skills, up to the C-Level
Proficiency with M&A technology tools (VDRs, pipeline management, sourcing/screening tools)
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Collaborative, self-driven, and eager to learn new businesses and industries
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
Experience in manufacturing or private equity (PE) companies is a major plus
