Grant Coordinator
– Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains. Full‑time, 37.5 hours/week, non‑exempt, benefits eligible. Salary range: $25.28‑$30.19/hour (budgeted hiring range $25.28‑$27.73/hour). Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm; some evening and weekend work may be required for grant deadlines and meetings.

Abortion Care This role supports abortion care through direct clinical triage, patient education, and follow‑up, ensuring timely and empathetic support to those navigating abortion services.
Snapshot Your days will be filled with documenting grant details, reviewing requests for proposals, writing grant applications and reports, entering grant information into the database, working with stakeholders to meet grant requirements, preparing grant attachments, processing grant agreements, and creating grant budgets. You will also work with other members of the Development team to contribute to stewardship, file organization, content generation/tracking, and storytelling efforts. Attendance at meetings and events may be required before and after business hours, and flexible scheduling may be necessary. Occasional travel throughout our affiliate region may be required.
Our Ideal Candidate You are an enthusiastic and dedicated team player who supports PPRM’s mission. You have at least 1‑2 years of experience in grant writing, technical writing, grant administration/coordination, or equivalent experience. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, strong organizational and time‑management abilities, and experience working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with relational databases (e.g., Raiser’s Edge) are preferred. A bachelor’s degree or prior experience in grant writing for health‑care or education‑focused organizations is desired, along with experience in budget preparation, administrative support, data collection, and organization systems.
Primary Areas of Responsibility / Essential Functions Administrative
Coordinate, track, and prepare grant attachments, budgets, donor‑briefs, reports, and proposals. Process and track grant agreements and contracts. Work with the team to coordinate grant schedules and calendars to support proposal and report writing.
Serve as the team lead for maintaining the Raiser’s Edge database and grant files. Support funder relations and stewardship by entering contacts, actions, notes, proposals, and other information into the database.
Work closely with accounting and Data Operations teams to ensure grants are coded correctly, purposes are well‑documented, and expenses are tracked and reported.
Serve as the administrative liaison to Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), one of PPRM’s larger grant funders, to ensure all records are organized and accurately tracked.
Support the Philanthropic Partnership team (Associate Director, Director, Grant Manager, Senior Development Writer, Manager of Stories and Journeys) by scheduling appointments, recording meeting notes, maintaining records, and coordinating mailing and printing.
Writing
Prepare strong, thorough proposals and reports to foundations, associations, and corporations/businesses. Create templates and content on PPRM programs for proposals, white papers, case statements, and other communications.
Support content generation/story collection in collaboration with the Manager of Stories and Journeys, including administrative processes and writing patient, student, advocate, staff, and other stories.
Support donor communication by helping with donor‑centered publications, such as the quarterly newsletter or annual report, and writing donor briefs for donor site visits.
Communication and Teamwork
Coordinate with PPRM administrative and program staff during the grant writing and reporting process to develop program goals, grant budgets, logic models, grant attachments, and other supporting materials.
Edit and proofread written materials as appropriate.
Build relationships across the Planned Parenthood community to increase knowledge of the organization’s broad scope of work.
Communicate with donors around grant timelines, portals, and applications and participate in site visits/donor meetings as requested.
Research/Data Collection
Support the Philanthropic Partnership/Grants team in prospect research.
Develop an understanding of PPRM’s data and analytics tracking tools to pull information for proposals.
Conduct reproductive health care research and track reproductive, sex education, and advocacy statistics relevant to proposals and submissions.
COVID‑19 Protocol Vaccination against COVID‑19 will no longer be a condition of employment. However, all Health Center/Patient or Community Facing Employees must have the COVID vaccine or wear a mask at all times beginning November 1st. Proof must be uploaded prior to hire.
Flu Protocol All employees working directly with patients, the community, or in a health center will be required to have the flu shot or wear a mask during patient/community contact or while in the health center from October 1st – April 30th each year. Proof must be uploaded prior to hire.
