Overview
Join a full-service law firm in northern Delaware as an experienced Litigation Paralegal. The candidate will work a hybrid schedule, typically working 4 days in the office and 1 day remote. The ideal candidate will have experience with defense litigation procedures. Responsibilities
Handle assigned client matters from initial intake through trial and final resolution. Record daily billable time entries in accordance with firm standards. Collect, review, and evaluate case-related materials such as medical and financial records; prepare detailed summaries and analyses. Assist in all aspects of trial preparation, including assembling binders, organizing exhibits, and preparing materials for witnesses. Maintain and track all court dates, deadlines, and related docket activities. Prepare progress summaries and provide regular case status updates to attorneys and other stakeholders. Take ownership of cases through completion, ensuring compliance with all filing and court deadlines. Perform additional case-related tasks and administrative duties as needed. Requirements
Minimum of three years of experience, ideally providing support in defense litigation matters. Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited or ABA-recognized program. Working knowledge of Delaware legal procedures and court filing requirements. Exceptional organizational abilities and strong attention to detail. Proven time management skills, with the capacity to balance priorities and consistently meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with attorneys, legal support staff, court personnel, clients, and expert witnesses. Genuine interest in defense-side litigation work. Ability to conduct legal research; prior experience using Lexis is advantageous. Comfortable reviewing, analyzing, and obtaining medical documentation. Prior experience recording billable time within a law firm environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required. Able to work in a hybrid arrangement, typically spending four days per week in the office.
