Overview
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois is seeking a full-time term judicial law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Beatty. This term judicial law clerk position is available in August 2026 for a one year term which may be extended upon mutual consent, but will not exceed four years as a term position. The law clerk provides critical support to Judge Beatty by conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda, orders, and draft opinions in civil cases. The successful candidate for this position will report to the East St. Louis courthouse. The federal Judiciary is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
