Mass Tort Paralegal

position. This position is open in our virtual office, The Link, or any of our locations. Location in the Pacific Northwest is preferred, but not mandatory with experience. The Mass Tort Paralegal will provide assistance to attorneys in fact investigation, legal research, document preparation and production, database management, docketing/case management, and overall client service. The position will focus on Pacific Northwest asbestos practice and functions specific to litigation practice may include discovery, deposition preparation, investigation, trial and mediation preparation, analysis of factual information, assistance in preparation of pleadings, motions and/or briefs, management of document production databases and case management databases, scheduling and calendaring and working on and trial participation. Essential Job Functions

Maintain professional demeanor and attitude. Comply with firm policies. Sustain attention to detail and quality of work. Learn/develop technical proficiency in database use and management; internet/electronic research; and project folder/electronic file maintenance. Independently organize and manage files or delegate similar tasks to Paralegal Assistants or Information Governance and supervise same. Attend and participate in in‑house CLEs. Mentor Paralegal Assistants. Anticipate attorney needs. Independently handle all key duties without supervision of another Paralegal or Senior Paralegal. Meet billable hour requirement of 1500 hours per year. Core Requirements

Position‑Specific Requirements

Pacific Northwest asbestos / Toxic Tort litigation experience mandatory. Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in a law related field or Associate’s degree and paralegal training. Familiarity with e‑filing protocols and online docket research in Pacific Northwest state and federal courts. Location in the Pacific Northwest area is preferred but not required for candidates with asbestos litigation experience. Compensation and Benefits

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
