Office Assistant 3 – DHS – Fire Marshal’s Office – Kanawha County
Nature of Work
The Office Assistant 3 position in the Inspections/Plan Review Division of the WV State Fire Marshal’s Office is an advanced clerical role. Responsibilities include normal clerical duties and interpretation and application of policies, practices, procedures, rules, and regulations as authorized by the Secretary 2 and Divisional Director. The role may serve as a lead worker to Office Assistant 2 positions, act as Divisional FOIA to ensure compliance with required procedures and timelines, and serve as a back‑up to the Secretary 2 position and other Office Assistant 2 positions. The successful applicant must act professionally with the public, businesses, and coworkers, be dependable in completing assigned duties on time, and have proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Office applications.
