About Us First Baptist Church of Edom exists to glorify God by making disciples who love God, love others, and live on mission for Christ. We are an elder-led Southern Baptist Church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and affirm the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). Our desire is to see students come to know Jesus Christ, grow in His Word, and live boldly for Him in their homes, schools, and communities.
Our Mission Statement We want people to know and glorify God with their life, live out a Great Commission lifestyle, and engage in fellowship with Christ and the body (the church).
Summary The Student Minister plays a vital role in helping students know Jesus, grow in His Word, and lead others to Him. This position focuses on building relationships, developing student and adult leaders, and guiding the student ministry in alignment with the overall mission and vision of First Baptist Church of Edom. The Student Minister will oversee and facilitate student discipleship, events, and leader development while empowering a team of volunteers to carry out much of the hands-on ministry.
General Statement The Student Minister must be a born-again believer who demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. He must agree with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, uphold biblical doctrine, and embrace a philosophy of ministry centered on disciple-making and relational investment.
