Overview
A family in Southern Marin is seeking a positive, personable Nanny to care for their school-aged child. The work location will be split between two different households in Marin County. He is neurodivergent so prior similar experience working with school-age children is required.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for child
Navigate child’s social-emotional needs
Engage in activities and play
Plan camps and activities
Drive to/from school and activities, appointments
Prepare dinner for the child (simple healthy meals)
Light tidying pertaining to the child
Child's laundry
Ordering clothing
Collaborate with Personal Assistant on what’s needed for the child, household, etc.
Occasional evening/weekend care
Requirements
Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage)
Flexibility to provide occasional evening/weekend care
Must have prior experience with neurodivergent children
Personable, positive
Excellent communication
Child development experience preferred
Can navigate sensitive situations and know when to step in/fade out
Excellent communicator, organized, empathetic, and kind
Knowledgeable in child development, who is discreet, and seeking a long-term commitment
2 years' minimum experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references
Prior experience working with school-age neurodivergent children
Fluency in English
TB and Tdap vaccine
COVID-vaccinated
CPR Certified
