Social Worker MSW - Team Lead at Riley Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. Full-Time, 2nd Shift (M-F, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). Join Our Leadership Team! We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker MSW - Team Lead to oversee departmental operations, facilitate complex patient care, and serve as a clinical expert in social work. Position involves guiding and supporting other social workers, collaborating across teams, assessing psychosocial needs, providing therapeutic interventions, managing complex cases related to abuse, neglect, guardianship, foster care, and mental health placements, and leading crisis management with de-escalation and safety focus. Key Responsibilities

Act as a leader and mentor to other Social Workers, providing guidance, oversight, and support. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to facilitate safe, timely, and resourceful patient care. Assess patients’ and families’ psychosocial risks, prior functioning, support systems, and coping mechanisms. Counsel patients and families on emotional, social, and financial impacts of illness or disability. Access and mobilize community and family resources to meet patient needs. Conduct mental health assessments upon physician referral and deliver therapeutic interventions. Serve as the point person for cases involving child abuse/neglect, adult/elderly abuse/neglect, institutional abuse, and domestic violence. Liaise with protective agencies, guardianship, foster care, and mental health providers. Support complex discharge planning and crisis management, including de-escalation in dangerous situations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with community agencies, law enforcement, schools, and other stakeholders. Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 5-7 years of Medical Social Work experience required. Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required. Licensure: Permanent Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required. Certifications: De-escalation certification required. Skills & Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of disease impact, human behavior, and legal mandates related to protective services. Proven ability to perform psychosocial assessments, therapeutic counseling, and crisis intervention. Strong leadership and mentorship skills. Experience working with geographically and socio-economically diverse populations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
